Overview

This looped walk takes its name from a Robin Hood figure who roamed the hills of West Tipperary in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. It explores farming country north of Upperchurch village through fields and on old laneways and minor roads with sections along forest boundaries.

There are tremendous views of the Comeraghs, Knockmealdowns, Galtees, Sliabh na mBan and the Devil’s Bit. Relatively flat, with the maximum ascent being 150m, the walk of 8km is of moderate difficulty and should take three hours.
