The story of MacDonagh’s involvement in the 1916 rising is explored in depth. but the real gem here is the untold story of MacDonagh, the man and his family’s legacy not just to Cloughjordan but to the Nation.

Designed and managed by an entirely voluntary team the Museum continues to excite with a constantly changing programme of exhibitions. The permanent exhibition examines MacDonagh as a family man, teacher, poet, dramatist, Gaelic language activist and founding member of the ASTI.
