Vue d'ensemble

In the early 2000’s we (Alfie and Margaret) moved from Dublin to rural Tipperary.

This smallholding consists of 5 acres on which we grow pigs, sheep, hens, ducks, occasionally turkeys and as much fruit and vegetables as we can.  The rest of the family includes a grumpy 14-year-old cat, and our two dogs.

In 2013 we started our B&B journey, and over the ensuing years have met so many wonderful people from all over the world.

Ours is a small bed and breakfast with 3 rooms available that can accommodate max. 6 guests.  We are just 2 hours from Dublin and Cork, and an hour from Galway or Limerick.  All of this makes us a perfect destination for a short break, or a ‘staycation’.

What you can expect

It is with great pride that we can tell you that breakfast during your stay is definitely homemade and mostly organic ingredients grown here.  You can opt to join us for dinner ‘in the kitchen’ during your stay.  Once again, all home-cooked, probably home-grown and organic.

Wide-open spaces to explore, and peace and quiet is guaranteed, away from the hustle and bustle here in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands.  Just come, sit back, relax and watch the grass grow.  Or as darkness falls admire the beautiful night skies with no light pollution to spoil the view.
