
The Butler family have been operating a Bed and Breakfast in their beautiful historic home since May 1976 and, as such, is one of the most experienced operatives in the Irish hospitality sector. Carrigeen Castle is located in the historic town of Cahir and is just a 5 minute walk a away from Cahir Castle, located just a short walk from the towns centre. The ideal location for tourists looking to explore the town and its surroundings.
Carrigeen Castle offers 7 traditionally styled rooms. The rooms at Carrigeen have views of the mountains and gardens, and include a wardrobe and flat-screen TV. Bathroom facilities include a shower, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Breakfast is served each morning. Guests can also make use of a lounge and library, and explore the spacious grounds.
Carrigeen Castle has featured in columns of the New York Times, Sunday Times, Kaleva (Finland), and Afton Bladet (Sweden) newspapers, besides several American and European publications relating to Ireland. In the mid-1990s, the Frommer Guide to Ireland took the opportunity of placing a picture of Carrigeen Castle on its front cover.
