Templemore Golf Club is a 9‑hole parkland course located just outside the town and has been operating since 1970, with a history of success in national and regional competitions. The club was formally established in 1971 in Manna, Templemore, and the original 9‑hole layout was measured and affiliated to the GUI in 1974, coming in at 4,564 yards for 18 holes, par 66, with a Standard Scratch of 61. The course has since been developed into its current layout, set on 28 acres and extended to 6,350 yards, par 71, with a Standard Scratch of 71. Templemore Golf Club continues to provide accessible facilities for members, visitors, and societies, maintaining a reputation for being a straightforward and welcoming place to play. Junior golfers are also supported through dedicated programmes during the summer and holiday periods.
