Nenagh Castle

Nenagh Castle, the town’s oldest building, dates back to the 13th century. Built by Theobald FitzWalter, it served as the main seat of the Butler family until 1391. The castle features Ireland’s finest cylindrical keep, incorporated into the curtain walls of a five-sided courtyard.
