Glen of Aherlow Community Tourist Office

The Glen of Aherlow is indeed one of the ancient hidden gems in Ireland nestling beneath the great Galtee Mountain Range, dating back some 350 million years ago.

The Glen of Aherlow Fáilte is a community tourism organisation set up in 1994 to develop the tourism potential of the Glen of Aherlow. Our aim is to attract more visitors who can access the hidden gems of the Glen of Aherlow in a safe, easy manner and leave with an enriching cultural experience

Our objective is to create better awareness and understanding of our natural and cultural resources by following trails to explore, experience and enjoy what is unique to the Glen of Aherlow valley. There is a variety of Loop Walks organised by Aherlow Failte, these give you the opportunity to experience the mountains, lakes and valleys at their best.

Our focus is to provide information in the form of a self guided tour of the Glen of Aherlow Valley to give the user a sense of understanding of our environment, our natural history, our culture and the people who paved the way in times past.
