Christ The King

The Christ the King statue was originally erected by voluntary labour during 1950 and became known far and wide as the symbol of the Glen. It is situated on the quiet country road from Tipperary town to the Glen of Aherlow. The statue stands on the southern slope of Slievenamuck facing the Galtee Mountains and overlooking the picturesque Valley.
