South Tipperary Arts Centre
Overview
South Tipperary Arts Centre in Clonmel was founded over 25 years ago to be a focal point for the arts in Clonmel and County Tipperary. Situated in a beautiful, light-filled Modernist building near the River Suir on Nelson Street, Clonmel, it is a rare example Modernist architecture in the county.
Our vision is to be a centre of excellence for the arts in Tipperary (and beyond), bringing the best of Irish and internationally renowned arts practices to Clonmel, enhancing engagement and opportunities for arts practitioners, audiences and visitors in the region.
As well as presenting a range of visual arts exhibitions in our gallery space, we also host events such as music, performance, poetry readings and dance. Outreach and education work is integral to our success, with one of our key objectives being to engage with a wide and varied range of audiences. Our studio is used for classes and workshops, as well as for short term projects & screenings. It is also a rehearsal space for theatre, dance, music, and is available to rent.
STAC would like to thank Tipperary County Council & Arts Council of Ireland for their ongoing support.
