Fethard’s Medieval Town Walls
Overview
The small village of Fethard boasts a huge number of medieval ruins. Approximately 90 percent of its 14th-century town walls remain intact, the greatest amount of a medieval town wall in Ireland. Visitors can walk along the section which encloses the Holy Trinity Church.
To access it please call into the Fethard Horse Country Experience, where they will be happy to assist. Visitors can then follow the town trail to see other points of interest including North Gate and the Watergate Sheela na Gig.
