Our Commitment to Sustainable and Regenerative Tourism in Tipperary

At Tipperary Tourism, we believe in protecting what makes this place extraordinary — its natural beauty, rich heritage, and vibrant communities. We’re committed to developing tourism in a way that respects the land, supports local livelihoods, and ensures a thriving future for generations to come.

Partnerships & Projects

We’re proud to be working with a number of community and conservation partners, and to support projects funded through Failte Ireland the EU Just Transition Fund — aimed at building a regenerative, future-proofed tourism model in Tipperary.

These projects focus on protecting heritage, restoring biodiversity, boosting sustainable infrastructure and strengthening rural economies.

We also share values with organisations such as Leave No Trace, The Heritage Council, Tidy Towns and local LEADER initiatives.

Looking Ahead

Tipperary County Council focus on developing a sustainability strategy to guide how tourism evolves in Tipperary. Our future goals include:

  • Reducing the environmental impact of tourism
  • Increasing off-season and nature-based visitation
  • Creating regenerative tourism experiences in partnership with communities
