Vale View Wine
Irish grown red wine
In 2017 we produced our first bottles of wine, primarily as a hobby and to make wine for our own consumption, however with very positive feedback received from samples given to friends, family and work colleagues it became apparent that our wine could well be a marketable product and so in 2023 Vale View Wine was established. Vale View Vineyard and winery is located in the rich and fertile soils of Toomevara on the Tipperary – Offaly border. Overlooked by the famous Devils Bit Mountain to the south, the vineyard lies on the south westerly slopes of the Ollatrim river valley.
Our wine is grown both indoor and outdoor without the use of either chemical fertilisers or pesticides, fermented and bottled on site at our vineyard using simple methods and techniques to ensure the purity of the wine. Our aim is to produce sustainable, quality wines and with global warming becoming an ever-increasing issue, the ability to produce a home-grown Irish wine contributes towards reducing our CO2 footprint.
Our Schuyler wine is our first offering to the market. Unique to these parts, the Schuyler grape was originally developed for the New York micro-climate. A beautifully versatile, light bodied red wine with fruity aromas, delicate tannins and moderate acidity, it is ideal for pairing with white meat and fish dishes, salads, pizza and perfect for the summer barbecue. Available in 375ml & 750ml bottles
