Golden

Golden is renowned for its fishing and is home to a number of historic structures. A twelve-arch road bridge, which spans two channels of the River Suir, dates back to around 1500 though the current bridge was rebuilt c.1770. On a small island between the channels are the remains of a tower house, most likely built to guard the river crossing.
