Step inside the Tudor Artisan Hub, a historic gem where heritage and creativity flourish. Located at 42 Main Street in the heart of Carrick-on-Suir’s Cultural Quarter, this building has been a forge of local talent since 1925. Originally the town’s Technical Institute and birthplace of the renowned Operatic Society, its creative legacy was reborn in 2014.
As one of Ireland’s largest independent arts collectives, we showcase over 100 artisans from the Suir and Lingaun Valley and beyond. Explore five galleries across two floors—a true ‘Aladdin’s cave’ of eco-conscious, ‘Made Local’ souvenir keepsakes and gifts, including handcrafted ceramics, textiles, fine art, glassware, woodwork, jewellery, handbags, candles, and skincare. Every item is handmade with love by skilled craftspeople, and with collections changing regularly, there is always a new, sustainable treasure to discover.
Nestled between two award-winning theatres and just steps from the River Suir Blueway and Ormond Castle, the Hub is a soul-soothing destination where you can truly embrace the cultural spirit of Tipperary. As a Visitor Information Point, we are delighted to help you make the most of your trip. Whether you book a bespoke, participatory crafting session with a maker, attend a performing arts event or simply take time to slow down and take it all in, come discover an authentic piece of Ireland’s Ancient East.
