Situated in Ireland’s rural heartland, it is no surprise to learn that Tipperary is home to many independent food producers who provide local restaurants and pubs with their top quality produce. And what holiday in Tipperary is complete without visiting a real Irish pub?

You can also buy these goods directly at shops and markets all over the county. We currently have farmers markets in towns throughout Tipperary. These artisan options include such hand crafted foods and beverages as Cashel Blue Cheeses, Baylough and Cooleeney Cheeses, Crossogue Preserves, Lough Derg Chocolates, Seymour's Organic Lamb and The Apple Farm Juices and Cider, to mention but a few.

The food and drink of a region are as much a part of it as the people. In Tipperary, we want you to take advantage of all that is wholesome and natural from one of Ireland’s leading agricultural regions, known as The Golden Vale. Through out the Summer months 'A Taste of Lough Derg' takes place around Lough Derg. Food producers in towns and villages organise events and often visitors get the opportunity to experience chocolate making, finding out how cheese is made, how to grow own vegetables and other interesting events.
