This 18-hole course is made up out of two distinct nines. The new front-nine layout by Mel Flanagan features USGA greens, the River Suir and man-made lakes. The front nine is the most open, with a considerable variety of trees and woods. Big bunkers and water is a serious threat on four holes. The back nine has classic parkland holes and stunning trees are a major feature. The 11th hole is considered one of the best par threes in Ireland. The course has been described as "classic, elegant parkland with championship status.
