Terryglass has a marina a short walk away from the village itself. At the centre of the village are 2 pubs providing splendid cuisine and entertainment, shop and local post office. Terryglass is one of Tipperary's most popular holiday destinations. Lough Derg, the largest of the River Shannons lakes, is an ideal spot for a variety of leisure activities including angling and a whole host of water sports.
The village itself, which has won 'Ireland's Tidy Towns Competition' on more than one occasion, has a lively nightlife with an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants. There is usually a local market sale on at the weekend during the summer, in the town hall. Old Court Castle and Portumna Castle and Forest Park are also worth visiting.
