Nenagh Golf Club
This is an excellent mature course, which features panoramic views from some tees, and requires accurate driving and approach shots to several sloping and two-tiered greens. The course has a very solid sub-soil, which generally makes it playable all year round. A major new development of the course was completed in May 2001. The course is a very fair test for any golfer, irrespective of ability or experience. Thirteen new sand-based undulating greens are guarded by intimidating bunkers and are proving a challenge for even the most fastidious of putters. Amenities include a practice area and chipping and putting green. Location: 7km (4.3 miles) from Nenagh on the Old Birr road.
